One workspace for every project

Everything about the job, in one file

Most projects end up spread across a moodboard app, a markup tool, a QA spreadsheet, a programme and a separate to-do app. Archiboard keeps the lot together in one project file on your PC, so nothing slips through the gaps.

5 → 1

Five apps, one file

References, client markups, the QA list, the timeline and the to-do board live together. Nothing to copy between tools and nothing lost in an email thread.

10 hrs

Back every month

Comments become the QA list by themselves and client markups come back in one drop. Save just 30 minutes a working day and that’s around 10 hours a month back for design work.

£99

Once, not every month

A three-person studio saves about £1,260 over three years compared with a typical £15-a-month-per-person subscription. See what your studio saves.

References and drawings

Images, renders, PDF drawing sets and Excel viewpoint lists, laid out on named boards.

Markups and QA

Client comments, sketches and stamps, gathered into a live QA table of every fix on the drawings.

Tasks and timeline

A to-do board for everything else on the job, plus a timeline of work stages and deliverables that fills in as you tick them off.

Sign-off

Client approvals recorded against each board and image, ready to export as a PDF for the project file.

Features

The things you’ll use every day, shown in a few seconds each. The app also shows one on its home screen every time it opens, so you pick them up as you go.

Plan the whole project

Press Shift L for the project timeline. Set a start date and deadline, add work stages and deliverables, and watch progress fill in as you tick them off.

Plan the job with Tasks

Press Shift K for a to-do board that saves inside the project. Add lists, drag cards as work moves on, and set due dates and checklists.

Sketch in isometric

Turn on isometric mode with Shift I or the cube button. Lines follow the iso axes, and Tab switches the plane for rectangles and circles.

Drop anything in

Drag images, PDFs or Excel files onto the board, paste with Ctrl V, or drag pictures straight from a web page.

Bring in your viewpoint list

Drop an Excel or CSV file onto the board and each sheet appears as a clear table. Right-click it to turn the rows into a live QA table.

Sticky notes

Press Y and click to add a sticky note. Pick a colour in the toolbar, and drag notes between boards as work moves on.

Get around fast

Scroll to zoom, hold Space and drag to pan, and press F to fit everything on screen.

Group work into boards

Press B to draw a named board, or select images and press Alt B to wrap them in one.

Mark up like a drawing

Pen P, arrow A and revision cloud K. Every mark carries your name, so it’s clear who drew what.

Comment on anything

Drop a comment pin N anywhere. Each comment logs your name and the date, and can take its own colour.

Measure from a plan

Draw a Measure line D over a known length to set the scale, then use Area U to get m².

Send it for review

Menu → Share for review makes one password-protected file your client opens in any browser. Import their markups when they reply.

Track every comment

Press Shift T to put a live QA table on the board, with status, assignee and due date for each comment.

Present it

Press F5 to present board by board, full screen. Arrow keys move on, Esc ends the show.

Straight from your model

The SketchUp, Blender and 3ds Max add-ons send your scenes or cameras to Archiboard as a ready-made board.

Key feature

See the whole project, start to finish

Set a start date and a deadline, lay out the work stages and list what you need to deliver in each. Tick deliverables off as you go and the timeline fills in, so you can see at a glance whether the job is on track.

Stages and deliverables

Start from the RIBA Plan of Work, five simple stages or a blank page. Rename stages, move their dates and add your own deliverables, each with a due date.

Progress you can see

Every tick moves the project on. Each stage shows its own progress, the chart marks today and the deadline, and anything overdue turns red before it becomes a problem.

Saved with the project

The timeline lives in the same file as your boards, tasks and QA table. It stays private, is never included in review files you send to clients, and exports as a CSV when you need it.

Tasks

A to-do board for everything else on the job

Chasing consultants, ordering samples, booking site visits. Keep the jobs that aren’t markups on a simple board inside the same project, so the whole team can see what’s moving and what’s stuck.

Client review without the email chaos

Send one file. Get everyone’s comments back as a tidy layer you can show, hide and resolve.

Build the board

Collect images and PDFs, group them into boards, and sketch your own notes on top.

Share with a password

Create an encrypted review file and send it by email or as a web link. Send the password separately.

Clients open and mark up

They enter the password in any browser, then pin comments and draw over your images. They can’t change your board.

Import, sign off and fix

They send back a tiny file. Each person appears as their own layer, their sign-off is recorded, and every comment joins your live QA table to tick off.

Stop renting your tools

Miro and the review platforms bill every person, every month, for as long as you use them. Archiboard is paid for once, and your whole studio keeps it.

No monthly bill

One payment, not another subscription on the studio card. Nothing to cancel, and no price rises every year.

Yours to keep

Twelve months of updates are included. Renew for new features if you want them; if you don’t, the app keeps working for good.

Clients review for free

Send review files to as many clients and consultants as you like. Nobody needs a paid seat or an account to mark up your work.

Competitor prices are for the paid plans named above, taken from their own pricing pages in October 2026 and billed yearly, converted from US dollars at about £0.75 to $1. Archiboard is shown at full price with updates renewed every year.

What PureRef and Miro don’t do

PureRef is great for collecting images. Miro is great for workshops. Neither was built for taking a design through client review to sign-off.

No more exporting views one by one and dragging them in. Free plug-ins send every scene or camera straight onto your board, named and in order, ready to mark up and share.

SketchUp

Every saved scene is exported at the size you choose and opens on your board, captioned with the model and scene name.

Blender

Send all cameras or just the selected ones as quick viewport captures, or send your finished render straight from the render window.

3ds Max

Every camera as a fast viewport grab or a full render with V-Ray, Corona, Arnold or whichever renderer you use.

A whole drawing set on the board in one drop

Reference-board apps make you screenshot PDFs page by page. Archiboard reads them for you, offline.

Drop several PDFs at once

Plans, sections, elevations, the client brief and the planning drawings. Select them all and drag them in together.

Every page, in order

Each page arrives as a sharp image, laid out in page order and captioned with its file name and page number.

Grouped per document

Every PDF gets its own named board with a page count, so a 40-page tender pack stays tidy next to your references.

Works with locked files

Password-protected PDFs ask for the password and import as normal. Nothing is uploaded; it all happens on your PC.

Big renders, small project files

Full-size renders and photos add up fast. Optimise images shrinks what’s stored in the project to a size you choose, so files stay quick to open, save and send, and still look sharp on screen.

Shrink what’s already there

Optimise every image on the canvas, just the ones you’ve selected, or a single board, all in one go.

Pick the quality

High quality (up to 4096 px), Web / review (2048 px) or Small (1600 px). Changed your mind? Undo straight afterwards.

Stay small from the start

Archiboard can ask when you drop in a very large image, or always add images at the size you prefer.

Lighter review files too

Files you share with clients are optimised for the screen, so they’re easy to email and quick to open.

Made for the way design practices review work

The tools a general whiteboard doesn’t have: drawing sets, scale, revisions, stamps, sign-off, a to-do board and a project timeline.

Project timeline

Plan the job from start date to deadline. Lay out the work stages, list the deliverables for each, and watch the timeline and the progress ring fill in as you tick them off. See it

Batch PDF import

Drop a whole drawing set at once. Every page of every PDF lands on the board in order, captioned and grouped per document, even password-protected files. How it works

Scale ruler and areas

Measure straight off a floor plan, elevation or render. Draw over one known dimension, such as a door width or a gridline, to set the scale, then measure lengths in m or mm and outline rooms to get their area in m².

Revisions A, B, C

Upload a new render over an old one and it becomes Rev B, with the old version kept underneath. Compare any two revisions with a before/after slider, and re-send scenes from SketchUp, Blender or 3ds Max to update them automatically.

Client sign-off record

Clients mark each board or image Approved, Approved with comments or Changes needed. Their name and the date are recorded, and you can export the whole record as a PDF for the project file.

Board templates

Start a concept board, material schedule, design review or planning pack from a ready-made layout, with labelled boards waiting for your images.

Stamps and revision clouds

Ring an area with a proper revision cloud, or stamp APPROVED, REVISE, CHECK MATERIAL, CHECK LIGHTING, QUERY or HOLD on any image in one click.

Live QA table

One click puts a QA table on the board with a snapshot of every comment. Sort fixes by category, assign them with due dates, tick them off in the table, let clients accept each fix, and export the list as a PDF or Excel file.

Comment pins & replies

Numbered pins on any image, each logged with who wrote it and when. Give comments their own colour, reply in threads, and see each reviewer on their own layer.

Present from the board

Choose the slides, reorder them, and step through full screen in the meeting. No separate deck to keep up to date.

Colour palettes from any image

Pull a palette of swatches from a render, a material sample or a precedent photo in one click, and keep it on the board next to the image. An eyedropper with a magnifier picks exact colours.

Composition overlays

Made for archviz artists: check a render’s framing with rule of thirds, golden ratio, diagonal or centre guides over the image, and use greyscale and squint views to see if the tones and balance hold up.

Tasks for the whole job

A drag-and-drop to-do board inside every project. Drag cards between lists, add checklists, due dates, labels and owners, and link a task to the drawing it’s about. Start blank or from the RIBA Plan of Work stages.

Excel viewpoint lists

Drop in an Excel or CSV file and each sheet appears as a clear table. Right-click it to turn the rows into a live QA table, with each row pinned to the view it belongs to.

Sticky notes

Coloured notes for quick thoughts, workshop ideas and client questions, right next to the images they’re about.

Isometric sketching

Click the cube button or press Shift+I and the line, rectangle and circle tools switch to an isometric grid. Lines follow the three iso axes, and Tab swaps between the top, left and right planes for quick 3D sketches.

Pick up where you left off

Archiboard opens on a home screen with your recent projects, ready-made templates and a new tip each time, so you’re back in the work in one click.

Stays on your PC

Boards are files in your project folders. Nothing goes to a cloud unless you share it, and shared boards are encrypted. Good news for NDA work.

Also included: a sketch layer that always sits above your images, named boards with grid, collage and masonry layouts, image cropping and optimising, and export to PNG, JPG or PDF up to 8192 px.

Questions

The short answers.

Can I run the whole project from Archiboard?

That’s the idea. Each project file holds your references, drawings, client markups, the QA table, a Tasks board for everything else on the job and a project timeline. Tasks and the timeline stay private: they’re never included in review files you send to clients.

Can I plan the project programme in Archiboard?

Yes. Open the Timeline (the button in the top bar, or Shift+L), set a start date and a deadline, and pick the RIBA Plan of Work stages, five simple stages or a blank timeline. Add deliverables to each stage, tick them off as you go, and the progress ring and chart show how the job is tracking against the deadline.

Can I sketch in 3D?

Archiboard has an isometric mode for quick 3D sketches. Turn it on with the cube button or Shift+I, and the line, rectangle and circle tools snap to an isometric grid. It’s made for sketching ideas over a plan or render, not for full 3D modelling.

Can I share just part of a project with a client?

Yes. When you choose Share for review, pick Everything or Only some boards and tick the ones your client should see. The rest of the project, including your tasks and timeline, stays out of the file.

Will lots of renders make my project files huge?

They don’t have to. Optimise images shrinks the stored images to the quality you choose (High quality, Web / review or Small) and shows an estimate of the saving first. You can also set Archiboard to add new images at that size from the start.

Can it import a whole set of PDF drawings?

Yes. Select as many PDFs as you like and drag them onto the board. Every page is imported in order, each document gets its own labelled board, and it all works offline. Very large files (over 40 pages) ask before importing.

Does it work with SketchUp, Blender and 3ds Max?

Yes. Install the free plug-in, then click Send to Archiboard. In SketchUp every scene is saved as an image; in Blender you send viewport captures from each camera or your finished render, and in 3ds Max you choose a fast viewport capture or a full render from each camera. They all open on your board, named and in order. Windows only for now.

Does Archiboard work offline?

Yes. The desktop app, PDF import and export all work with no internet connection. You only need a connection to send files to clients.

Where are my boards stored?

In files on your own computer (.Archiboard files), so you can keep them in your project folders and back them up like anything else. Double-click a file to open it in Archiboard.

What do my clients need?

Just a modern web browser. They open the review file, enter the password and their name, and start commenting. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

How secure are shared boards?

Review files are encrypted with AES-256, using a key derived from your password, so the board is unreadable without it. Use a long or generated password and send it by a different route from the file. Files can’t be revoked once sent.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows today. A Mac version is planned; join the waitlist to hear first. Clients can review on any computer or tablet with a modern browser.

Can I import my existing boards?

Archiboard opens its own .Archiboard files and imports images and PDFs. Importing other apps’ board formats isn’t supported.

How does the free trial work?

Get a free trial code by email (no card needed), download the app and enter the code when it opens. You can use everything in it for 7 days. To keep going, buy a licence and enter the key under Menu → Licence. Everything you made during the trial carries straight over.

What do I get with a licence?

The Archiboard desktop app with unlimited projects, plus 12 months of updates. After that you can renew for another year of updates (£29 Solo, £79 Studio), or not renew and keep using the last version you had, for as long as you like.

Will there be online features?

Possibly. If we add online services in future, such as live commenting, they may be a separate paid add-on. The desktop app you buy will never stop working because of them.

Can I move my licence to a new PC?

Yes. Open Menu → Licence on the old PC and choose Deactivate on this PC, then enter your key on the new one. Activating needs an internet connection once; after that the app works offline.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If Archiboard isn’t right for you, email us within 30 days of buying for a full refund. See the refund policy.

How does the referral scheme work?

Sign up for a referral link (you don’t need a licence), then share it. When someone buys Archiboard within 30 days of clicking your link, you earn 25% of what they paid. Our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy, tracks the sales and pays you directly. Their small fee comes out of your commission.
